Our Story
New York Italian recipes in Sandpoint, Idaho
Normally, in order to get authentic New York style Italian, you would have to be on the east coast. Fortunately, Arlo’s has been bringing New York to North Idaho for over 20 years.
Tom, a northwest boy turned long time New Yorker, along with the NY native Arlo’s decided to start a new chapter in Sandpoint, ID by opening a restaurant. “The Arlo side of the family has always been in the service industry,” Jesse says. “My great-great-grandfather was a macaroni maker in New York.”
Arlo’s began with an all-original menu crafted by Chris, who had found success as a well-known chef in New York working at restaurants like Sal Anthony’s S.P.Q.R., Tribeca Grill, and more. After the restaurant was up and running, he returned to New York for nearly 15 years, and now he’s back in Sandpoint for retirement.
